New On Board

I have 2 lovely new blog sponsors..... now contributing to the 'Feed A-M's Growing Boys Fund'.

First, say hello to 'Miss French Navy', from French Navy.

She creates the most beautifully elegant stationery...

.... including wedding stationery and stylish personalised stationery ...

.... in the most fabulously happy colours.

.. and look, monograms too:

...and 'Miss French Navy' has a range that is sold in Liberty of London!
I know. Exciting.

Aaaaaannnnnd to top it all off, she has a bloggy HERE..... which just exudes style and sophistication.

Coast and Country Homewares have also joined in the fun.

Their gorgeous collection of homewares, soft furnishings, tableware and jewellery is inspired by our beautiful Australian coastline. There is also a touch of the Hampton's in there too. Their range delights me as I have found lots of blue things!

I especially love their blue and white collection.
I am seriously in love with this plate.

...and look at their gorgeous tea lights!

... striking...
..... and robust enough to survive a Spaghetti Bolognaise session, powered by boys.

I hope you enjoy these lovely shops.
Say hi from me!

Happy Wednesday!

Oh and PS, thanks for all your encouragement yesterday. I was so 'encouraged', I practised until dark and knocked off Debussy's 'Petite Suite' in only 2 hours! Sorry neighbours.... no, it wasn't a kid, it was an over enthusiastic grown-up making that noise. Oh how my fingers hurt this morning. A deliciously nice hurt though!

Christmas Shout Out

Everybody is saying it..."Hasn't Christmas come around quickly this year"? Like every year. The year seems to gather momentum after March and then before you know it, you're getting the Christmas tree out from the back of the shed.

As per usual, I have left everything until the last minute... so I am heading online to source gifts, avoiding all the Christmas crowds.... "and germs".... as Sheldon from 'The Big Bang Theory' would say (thanks to that show, my little one wants to be a physicist, thank you very much... or a Mathemetician.... still tossing up.. oh well, he's still only 9). I digress.

Soooo, I thought I'd do a shout out to all my lovely sponsors on my side bar and share with you some of my favourites from their stores..... seeing I am currently foraging through all their wares!

I found this gorgeous 'Black Linen Ruffle Cushion Cover' (above) over at 'The White Shed', for $40. It's also available in white and beige. Looks beautiful on both classical and modern pieces. You can find it HERE.

This 'Infinity Print', at 'Twine And Teacups', has long been a favourite of mine. All 'Twine and Teacups' prints are $29 and ready to frame. You can find the 'Infinity Print' HERE.

Over at the 'Decorating Emporium', I have my eye on this pretty 'Hampton's Blue Platter'. For $25, you can't go wrong. I think this would be perfect on a dresser, draped in jewels. I love keeping all my pretties laid out on a tray. You can find it HERE.

Julie-Ann at the Emporium also runs the very popular 'Decorating Forum'. She's a busy girl. Pop over and say hi at the 'Forum' HERE.

Look at this darling 'Mondo Cherry' artwork. This is one of their mini ones. Those girls are amazing. Every artwork is hand cut from vintage illustrations from damaged children's books. They have heaps to choose from, starting with the gorgeous little leaf one, HERE.

'Sam and I' has a beautiful range of children's pyjamas and lounge wear. Of course, I always make a beeline to the boys section, being a 'blue household' and all. My boys live in singlets when at home...too hot for shirts in the height of summer ..and their Mother won't let them walk around without shirts on. These boy's singlets are seriously stylish and Mimi even makes them up to Size 14, my big boys size! You can see Mimi's range HERE.

.. and last but not least, if you are wanting to splurge and 'self gift', why not get Katrina, at 'The Media Maid', to renovate your existing bloggy.... or create a brand new one! Nothing's too much trouble. She's wonderful to work with... sooo patient... and she still makes you feel like you know something even after you ask her really dumb questions about things you really should know after running a blog for 4 years.
Check out her vast portfolio HERE.

Righto, I'm online shopping today. I'm going to get this Christmas thing organised once and for all.

Happy Tuesday!

Goodness It's November!

.....like well into November... and then it will be December ...which means it will be Christmas.
How did that happen? Christmas? Holidays? I'm still getting a hold on the rest of the year.

I must admit, as soon as I saw Faux Fuchsia's tree go up, I knew I was going to have to put my skates on soon.... even though FF does follow a 'Retail Christmas' and whack it up sometime in what?...September?. Goodness, I don't even know where my Christmas tree is?.... somewhere at the back of the shed?...behind 50 million lights. It won't fit in my small-ish apartment anyway. What to do?

Should I embrace simple elegance and maybe do a Christmas themed entrance vignette like this lovely one from the Decorating Emporium? Little teal ply trees, what a sweet idea. Or should I find a tree that fits my place? Do many of you cheat and not have a tree? What other ways can I make my place Christmas-ish without a tree. I am conscious of creating family traditions... although the boys seem rather nonplussed about the whole tradition thing. Will they grow up needing therapy if we don't do the Christmas tree thing? What do you do? Do you pull out all stops?..... or embrace 'Christmas Minimalism'  (I just made that terminology up... there's something in that though!)

Getting side tracked...(which is what I tend to do well, working from home and all)... I did spy these lovely cushions over at the Emporium which I seriously, probably have to have. Throw a pretty cushion my way on Christmas Day and I am happy.

Ok, so what should I do? Tree or no tree? Something else? Suggestions?

Happy Wednesday!

PS. Speech Night is tonight - where big son is getting an award and playing his guitar in the ensemble. Will try to take some photos with the trusty iPhone. I bought a frock. I now own 3!

In The White Shed

Look at Letitia's gorgeous new stock. It looks so pretty on my bloggy side bar too. Her stuff is just divine. So me. So Hampton's, Cape Cod, Frenchy... whatever I am.
She's one of my lovely sponsors you know. Puts food on my table. Hopefully I am putting food on hers!
Bloggy love!  HERE :)
